FEBRUARY 26, 2010 - General Membership Meeting
Portage Lakes Kiwanis Civic Center
8:00PM
- Call to order and introduction of tonight's guest speaker:
Clyde Simpson, Observatory Coordinator, Department of Astronomy, Cleveland
Museum of Natural History
Clyde brought meteorites from the collection housed at the Museum as well as
some sample rock material typical
of other planetary surfaces. As always, Clyde's talk was a fascinating
hands-on experience. We had the opportunity
to actually pick up and hold 4.5 billion-year-old material from outer space.
