Call to order and introduction of
our speaker:
Mr. David L. Richards; Director,
Hoover-Price Planetarium
Mr. Richards has held the position of Director of the Hoover-Price
Planetarium at the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum
in Canton for the
past fourteen years. Dave is also an amateur astronomer and resides in
a
semi-dark spot in Dover, Ohio.
A current member of the Great Lakes
Planetarium Association, the
Cleveland Regional Association of Planetariums, and
the International Planetarium Society; Dave has
extensive knowledge of the topic for his talk tonight. His
daytime activities include
being a decent birdwatcher,
(responsible for Audubon Society annual Winter Census, Mogadore Area,
1979-1999), adequate fisherman
and an awful recorder player.
Tonight's talk: "The
Future Planetarium"
Mr. Richards would like
to engage the group for their thoughts concerning the material
to be
presented at the "future planetarium." Club members
& visitors feedback would be invaluable. |
