The scheduled star party for this evening has been CANCELLED due to weather conditions. We may have an opportunity for an impromptu star
party Monday evening with Jupiter well-placed for observing.

Announcement for the Impromptu Star Party will be made on
the home page of our site sometime before Monday afternoon...

Public Observing Event
at the ACA Observatory


Jupiter is well placed for evening observing; view equatorial bands and four Galilean Moons.
The Ghost of Jupiter is also well placed.
There are many objects on the observing list including numerous galaxies.

    The Jet Stream affects astronomical "seeing" (steadiness of the air)
    If we're in a gray area, seeing will not be as good as in a white area.
    If we're in a white area, the shorter the arrows, the better.
