Status update at 7:00pm by our Observatory Director...

The observatory will open at 7:45pm. The skies appear to be clearing slowly from west to east. Our President reports chili is hot & ready.
Best Free Coffee in Akron will be brewing all observing session.
Musical selection will be best hits from the 40's.

    The Jet Stream affects astronomical "seeing" (steadiness of the air)
    If we're in a gray area, seeing will not be as good as in a white area.
    If we're in a white area, the shorter the arrows, the better.
