Here's our observing list for this evening:

Saturn  - The Ringed Planet w/rings tilted at 20°
Epsilon Lyrae  - The "Double-Double" star
M13  - The Great Hercules Cluster
M92  - globular cluster w/higher concentration of stars than M13
M11  - Wild Duck Cluster;
 

    you won't believe the image with the 16" observatory telescope fitted with the 31mm Nagler eyepiece

M17  - The Swan Nebula; very sweet!
M24  - Star cloud
M26  - Open cluster in Sagittarius
M23  - Open cluster in Sagittarius
M8  - The Lagoon Nebula
NGC 6229  - globular cluster; 102,000 ly distant
M57  - the Ring Nebula - as you've never seen it before!
NGC 6633  - very nice open cluster in Ophiuchus
NGC 6445  - Little Gem Nebula;
     small, pretty bright planetary nebula in Sagittarius
Albireo  - beautifully colored double star in Cygnus
NGC 6826  - The Blinking Planetary Nebula
     well-placed near zenith; Is it actually blinking?
NGC 6543  - Cat's Eye Nebula
     Observe the central star in this planetary nebula
NGC 869/884  - Herschel's Double Cluster in Perseus

Solar System objects rise/transit/set times from the ACA Observatory on the date of this event...

New feature: The "T" on each object's line in the chart above indicates the time of transit in addition to the rise and set times for the object.

 
Jet Stream (updates automatically to latest available image)
    The Jet Stream affects astronomical "seeing" (steadiness of the air)
    If we're in a gray area, seeing will not be as good as in a white area.
    If we're in a white area, the shorter the arrows, the better.
